We have got totally on board with ordering a new range of Komatsu excavators including PC1.8 (on trailers) PC55, PC88, PC138, PC228 all with our new standard Heli-tilt hitch and 3 bucket system... operators love this new setup.

We realised many of you will need intelligent machine control to complete your civil projects so have taken delivery of 4 x Komatsu PC210-11i machines with full 3D Topcon and scales.

A new client in Wanaka was the first to commission one of these machines and is over the moon with it. The second unit is going into service in Dunedin.

Komatsu PC 360-11 and PC 490-11 excavators have also arrived with Heavy duty digging systems to ensure we can cater for your bulk earthmoving requirements.

The 360 is straight off to a screw piling job in Christchurch, no one has put their hand up for the 490 yet, probably because its winter.

We welcomed Kubota to the Central Machine Hire fleet with what we call our “small machine range” excavators 1.7U and 2.7U (on trailers), 3.5U, KX040, 5.5U, KX080. Like the Komatsu’s these all have heli-tilt setups and a 3 bucket selection.

It’s been interesting to get feedback from customers who have hired Kubota for the first time, these little fellows’ bat above their weight and operators do like them.

The Kubota range also now includes R540 loaders with quick change pallet forks, these are handy little 5 tonne loaders with a.8m3 bucket.

Kubota 75 Compact track loaders (skid steers on tracks ) have also been added, these come with all sorts of things inc forks, std bulk bucket, 4 in 1 bucket, leveling bars/grader blades as well as power rakes and seeders.

Caterpillar Rollers are coming in with the CS11 construction roller really proving its worth. We also have Caterpillar CB34 double drum and CC34 combi-rollers which are versatile 4 tonne machines. 

Cat PTR rollers have been added inc the largest one they make which is a CW34 and can be ballasted up to 26tonnes.

We are creating an entirely new Komatsu loader fleet Komatsu comprising WA150, WA200, WA320, WA380 machines (the WA200 and WA320 models will come with quick tach buckets and 5 tonne rated forks). The first WA200 is in service on a big Wanaka pipe project and our valued client really rates it. 

We are updating our entire fleet of Komatsu dump trucks over the next 12 months to the latest HM300-5 machines, the first two have arrived and are out in service, one in CHCH and one in Queenstown. 

These little graders are ideal for both subdivision construction and road maintenance operations.
